Known Issues in Resolution

Symptoms:

There is a known issue whereby several of Resolution's dialogs fail to display, instead giving a 'Class Not Registered' message.

Cause:

This issue is due to the Microsoft XML Parser 3.0 either not being installed, or being an incompatible (older) version. Resolution will still function with older versions of Microsoft XML Parser 3.0, and the Function Database still displays regardless of the version of the XML Parser version. This issue does not affect Resolution's pricing functionality in any way.

Remedy:

This issue can be resolved by installing the latest version of Microsoft XML Parser 3.0. The easiest way to upgrade is to view the following webpage on our site:

www.derivativepricing.com/XMLUpdate.asp

This will install the correct version of the XML Parser on your PC. Note that installing Microsoft XML Parser 4.0 will not remedy this issue, as both versions 3 and 4 run alongside each other.
